We’re packing the floggers, brushing up on our rope skills, and heading south — The Sanctuary of Sin is off to SWAMP tomorrow, July 13th, and we are buzzing to join one of the UK’s longest-running and most legendary fetish gatherings.
If you’re anywhere near Bristol and into kink, BDSM, fetish fashion, alternative lifestyles, or just want a place to soak up sexy vibes and meet like-minded folks, SWAMP (South West Alternative Market & Party) is the place to be this Sunday.
🖤 What Is SWAMP?
Running since 2004, SWAMP is a full-day event that blends market, workshop, play, and party in one glorious 10-hour kink extravaganza. It’s one of the most welcoming and diverse events we’ve ever been part of — whether you’re a total newbie or have more rope than friends, this is a place to be your full, fabulous self.
🛍️ Market Mayhem: 1pm–6pm
We’ll be there from 1pm with our full stall of personally tested, community-loved toys, bondage gear, sensation play tools, and kinky curiosities. With 30+ alternative vendors offering all the things you can’t find on the high street, it’s a great opportunity to browse, shop, and chat with some of the best small businesses in the scene.

🪢 Rope Curious? Join the Workshop
Feeling inspired to tie or be tied? From 2:30pm–5pm, Jahc and RichardRope are hosting a Chair Bondage workshop in the dedicated rope space. It’s open to everyone from first-timers to experienced riggers, and all you need is an all-day wristband (£10) to take part.
Just want to watch? You’re still welcome with a market ticket. No need to pre-book — just turn up, pay at the door, and get stuck in.
🌙 After Dark: 7pm–11pm
Once the traders pack down, the party begins. SWAMP transforms into a fully-equipped dungeon night, with public and private playspaces filled with benches, crosses, mats, and all the tools you need for consensual adult mischief.
The evening party is open to all (with the right wristband and outfit — dress code enforced at night!), and whether you want to play, watch, or just sip a drink in good company, it’s a uniquely safe and stimulating vibe.
There’s a bar, cloakroom, changing space, and plenty of friendly faces — including us! Come hang out, show us what you picked up at the market, or just share some good kinky chat.
