Our Descent into Hel… Cabaret: Coven of Sins
Blood. Fire. Pussy Power.
Last week, we took the plunge once again into the underworld of performance art — the infernal, irresistible world of Hel Cabaret. Their newest show, Coven of Sins, delivered everything we’ve come to crave from this chaotic cabal of performers: sex, blood, blasphemy, and a whole lot of talent.
We arrived early at La Belle Angele, buzzing with anticipation. We grabbed our pre-ordered Hel merch, scoped out the merch stand — which featured a few sinful bits from The Sanctuary of Sin — and nestled into prime seats near the front. Doors open a good 45 minutes before the show, which gave us time to sip on drinks, people-watch, and admire the divine outfits of the crowd (shoutout to the full nun & priest duo — you are iconic).
And then… the descent began.
🔥 Act I: Rituals, Demons & Divine Filth
The show opened with a moody, candlelit ceremony led by Selenia Castle, Gypsy Charms, and Melon, flanked by robed stage hands. Mystique and menace set the tone — and yes, a human sacrifice was offered. Welcome to Hel.
Our host for the night, the one and only Abaddon Allhope, made a jaw-dropping entrance in a blood-dripping headpiece, stripping essentially blind before jumping straight into emceeing. Icon behaviour. She kept the crowd howling with laughter between acts, covering everything from mayo as lube to bear penis stats and Russian Winnie the Pooh. No notes.
From there, the lineup exploded into decadence:
-
White-Hot Blonde & Hal gave us a Faustian deal with drugs, booze, and devilish sex.
-
Sweaty Jessie & Rosé Tralee brought a rare and incredible joint demon pole act — sweaty, horny, hypnotic.
-
Special guest Ethereal Grave, all the way from Ireland, slayed as a gore-soaked nun, making sacrilegious signs of the cross as blood dripped from her mouth and thighs.
-
Selenia Castle returned with a haunting performance featuring a custom candle collar, wax play, and ceremonial blood — helped by Melon and White-Hot Blonde.
-
To close part one, BloodRouge Dragon bewitched us with her dreamy movements… that evolved into a ravenous cake-smearing frenzy. Still thinking about it.
And let’s not forget the raffle, stacked with hand-crafted collars, tattoo vouchers and more – a true altar of temptation.
🔥 Act II: Goatheads, Mothmen & Bloody Antlers
Melon opened part two with Rebecca’s favourite act of the night — a jaw-dropping pole performance featuring a masked man with a full goat head. It was a satanic sex ritual come to life, complete with outlandish goat-head cunnilingus. Yes, really. Yes, it was incredible.
Gypsy Charms, their teacher and special guest for the night, wowed on the aerial hoop with her Power of the Pussy act. Split drops, flips, and Hal spraying money over her with a cannon. She teased her usual act from Torture Garden in Edinburgh — pulling things from her vagina — and we could practically hear the crowd begging for more.
Abaddon Allhope returned as a Bene Gesserit from Dune, dancing with a thurible in a sensual, surreal striptease. Think incense, religion, and raw power.
Then came Jayson’s favourite — Rosé Tralee as Mothman. This pole-dancing cryptid fell in love with the lightbulb at the top of her pole. Wings, longing, power… honestly? A love story for the ages.
Sweaty Jessie followed with a haunting voodoo act, starting high on the pole in flowing robes and ending in a chilling self-sacrifice. Beautiful and unsettling.
And finally, the grand finale: Selenia Castle and White-Hot Blonde as opposing forces — black vs white, corruption vs purity, good vs evil. Their duel ended in bloodshed and fire, with Cytri sacrificed between their antlered flames. The perfect climax.
